One from notes.
Poured into a snifter, the appearance was a black color with a thin crisp off white foamy head that stiffened and ended up sliding into the beer fairly quick. Light lace.
The aroma had a nice bittersweet chocolate nib bite in the beginning and then some tart and sweet black cherries rolling in for a nice smooth way. Some roast.
The flavor blends the sweet to the bitter and then a light tart nipping at a decent little dark chocolate bitterness rolling all around. Sly aftertaste of the bitter chocolate nib and a stiff black cherry sweetness. Quick roasty to bitter to sweet and tart finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sipping quality about it. Carbonation seemed fairly low and then a nicely felt ABV.
Overall, pretty nice sipper for late Winter. Hope they do this one again for next season.
