Growler share with my parents. Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a mug.
The appearance was a semi-dark copper color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace.
The aroma had some pumpkin flesh/sweetness, bubblegum, vanilla, pie spice, ginger, earthy malts, cereal sweet grains and a touch of cinnamon at the end.
The flavor mildly blended the sweet to the spice somewhat nicely. The bubblegum wasn’t so much present here which was good, not sure why I got that in the aroma, but wasn’t too distracting. Light aftertaste of the pumpkin and spices. The finish was fairly quick with the pumpkin and cinnamon.
The palate was between light and medium bodied with a decent sessionability about it. Carbonation was decent. ABV was fine.
Overall, seemed everything was alright until I smelled \"bubblegum\" in a pumpkin beer. If anything, was just different and that’s how I wrote it off. If I get the chance to stop in Conyngham, I’ll ask the brewer if it was intentional. Who knows - maybe it was just me that day.
