The appearance was a semi-clear brown color with a slim white foamy head that stiffened and then slid off gently into oblivion. Not much lace.
The aroma had some toast, roasted malts, light nuttiness, low amount of earthy to citrusy hops and slight woodiness.
The flavor kindly took the sweet levels to blend subtly with the roast and added a little bit of hay. Aftertaste was dry and malty, the finish was the same.
The palate was just a touch under medium bodied with a fair carbonation about it. ABV felt good.
Overall, pretty good brown leaning probably towards the English side.
