Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a dark amber almost brown color with a thin cap of a little white semi-foamy head. Sliding lace.
The aroma had some toast, roasted coffee beans and grounds, light amount of dark fruits, some grassiness and a light herbal to earthiness at the end.
The flavor was roasty with the coffee beans. Dark fruits had some sweetness trying to play with the balance. Aftertaste was herbally sweet with the dark fruits making a decent play. Finish was malty sweet.
The palate was about medium bodied making a smooth clean texture along my tongue. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine.
Overall, seemed like an English styled porter to me, perhaps a bit high for suggested ABV but still came across pretty nice.
