Draught Small, slowly retreating yellow head over hazy amber beer. Fresh yeast, intense, stonefruit & orangepeel. Again yeast in front, toasted malts and coloured fresh grains; quite a bit of mildly sweet caramel. Hazelnuts, hardboard, rosemary. Alcohol remains seriously hidden, the cinnamon in a lesser way. Not very carbonated; at least medium bodied, faintly sticky. Nice, interesting, bit dangerous. In case Alengrin doesn't get to taste this; "Verloren Maandag" (Lost Monday) hails from 16-17th century Antwerpen where, on the first monday after Epiphany the city employees were payed out, and this in the pub. As a reward, they were treated there with beer and sausage rolls. Seen that afterwards, no work could be done anymore, it was a 'lost' monday. If Alengrin gets to taste this, he'll write you a couple of pages about this.
