Pours a hazy (almost soupy), orange juice color, with smallish head. Aroma is juicy citrus (some notes of orange) and tropical fruit. Flavors are citrus and tropical fruit. Soft mouthfeel. Mild hop bitterness in the finish.

Undated can drunk 1/14/26, as pictured.
Wow, wasn't sure what to expect with no date on the can (but this is still listed on tap at their brewery, so good chance it's very fresh). And yeah, this smells phenomenal! More Nelson then Motueka in my mind, or like Motueka when it first came out. Motueka seemed to turn in to a more fruit salad-like character with pineapple, cherry and other things that took it further from the white grape and mineral that seems more preferable. Balancing malts seem appropriate and ample, but stay out of the way. No resin, alcohol, weird yeast, etc...
Rich and hoppy with a big malt profile belying the nose. Honey and white bread easily soak up any excess acidity, and the hops show a good deal of white grape, mineral/earth and only a lighter afterthought of melon/cherry/kiwi. Maybe doesn't quite live up to the aroma, but it's certainly no slouch. Gotta make it down to Marlowe some day....the beers seem even better than I remember, and I remember them being excellent.
