This batch of 4th D is aged in Detroit City Distillery Homegrown Rye Whiskey barrels. A spicy oak character, intense sweet caramel malt flavor, and aroma. Some toffee / toasted marshmallow like character. GABF gold and World beer cup gold.

Bottle form Tavour: pours brown with small beige head. Aroma is vanilla, some booze, caramel, toffee, dark fruitiness. Taste is somewhat sharp, not too sweet, some oxidation. Booze is well covered enough, but there is no question that there is booze. Good.

12 oz bottle from the Warren brewery. Pours a deep, deep brown to black with a light tan head. Aroma is giving some dark fruit, whiskey, and oxidation. Brown sugar, whiskey, dark fruit flavors, boozy and syrupy, a touch of oxidation again. Heavy and tasty.
