Upon awakening from a long slumber nestled amongst bourbon soaked oak staves, we're proud to bring back our signature Bourbon Barrel Aged Barleywine, Creation’s Shadow. This beer is a celebration of all things malt and is an example of how a few simple ingredients can be transformed to create a beer with layers of complexity and nuance. Creation’s Shadow is brewed in the vein of English-Style Barleywines choosing to focus on using a few simple English malts and minimal hop additions. A lengthy 10 hour boil creates rich flavors of dark caramel, toffee and raisins as the wort slowly caramelizes in the kettle. We left Creation’s Shadow to mature over 18 long months in bourbon barrels where it inherits its signature bourbon character.
