Day Drip is a Quadruple IPA pouring a pale yellow color with a swell of white foam rising above the glass. This iteration of our Drip series uses a novel blend of Southern Hemisphere hops and an increased volume of crystal malts for a chewy body. Utilizing a massive dose of Citra hops, notes of grapefruit peel, mango smoothies, and orange gummies float above its creamy base. We then blended two legendary New Zealand varieties, Motueka and Paradisi, which burst with sweet notes of limeade, passionfruit candy, vanilla cream and ripe melon.
A single mark on the page breaks the silence. It seems to curve into a question mark that's answered by an instinctive gesture. Suddenly thoughts are flying from all directions. From the chaos, emotions simmer and roil, rising and falling topographically. The criss-cross blurs until kineographic forms emerge from our mind's eye, its meaning personally crafted, curated, and brought to life from the inside out.

Soft, sweet, succulent melon and citrus leads off just about identically to Infinite Julius and Focus on the Light. No alcohol in the aroma, but then, there hasn't been any in the nose of their other QIPAs either. Candied citrus, rich honey-vanilla-like malt and big, round, fruity yeast.
Tons of citrus in the flavor with more of the fleshy, juicy, rich honeydew melon. There's a shot of alcohol initially, but it seems to mostly pass, leaving only light warmth and peppery, minimal alcohol in its wake. Citrusy bitterness helps to create balance, but there certainly is a lot, though maybe not too much, rich, honey-like malt. Sweet and comforting, it feels more like Focus on the Light, though with maybe a little less hop personality. Just sort of dialed-in to citrus and melon. Some fruit salad character from the Motueka and, honestly, I can't remember what Paradisi tastes like. But it's mostly Citra here.
Seems like TH 10%+ IPAs are currently a crapshoot as to whether your can will be an alcohol bomb. Thankfully this one wasn't.

Pours a hazy, mustard-butterscotch color, with mid-sized, lasting head. Aroma is citrus and tropical fruit, with some alcohol burn. Flavors follow, including the burn. Soft, smooth mouthfeel. Mild to moderate hop bitterness in the finish, plus the alcohol burn. Can says this is a Quad IPA, but the ABV doesn't rise to Brewver's standards.
