Angry fist of Santa tasting at Chris_o’s. Gold, thin white head. Poor pale lager. That’s pretty poor.

Bottled (thanks SADESA). Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is sweet malts, some hops and mild fruity notes. Flavour is grassy hops, malts, mild maizeish notes. Rather wellbalanced.

330 ml bottle purchased at the Vín Búð - Kringlan, Reykjavik, Iceland. Pour is clear golden with small carbonation bubbles and a big, thick white head. Head is quite lasting, when it finally retreated it left behind some nice lacing. Aroma of slightly sweet corn maltiness. There is just a hint of earthy hops in the background. Taste is faintly sweet maltiness, earthy hops and then finishes with corn. The label lists Saaz, but not too much of that came through in the taste. The after taste lingers just a bit too long, and is somewhat dirty hay tasting. Overall, decently made beer, somewhere in the middle of the pack of the Icelandic beers I have had.

2014-02-20, draught at Micro Bar, Reykjavik, 6-3-6-3-13=31
Golden color; it actually has a nice malt profile, and a moderate grassy touch.

2008-03-08, bottle at Rover, Göteborg; great generosity of Pelle; 6-2-6-3-13=30
Blond color; nice small bubbles, but not enough to gain extra points. I’m quite surprised to find some continental hop in the aroma, light but very nice. The flavor is strange, as it is 70% Pilsner (good crispy malt), and 30% cheap Lager (there is some paper-like flavor); the mouthfeel is very dry, mostly at the end; it has a correct bitterness. A positive attempt to brew a good Pilsner.

Bottled. A golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet and very malty, while the flavor is sweet malty combined with notes of caramel and a slight tickle on the tongue from the alcohol. Thanks Emil for bringing this beer to Denmark.

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of Ungstrup. Pours a clear, golden with a small, white head. Clean, malty nose. Medium-bodied, sweetish malty with some floral accents. Light notes of sulphur before a dry finish. Kinda like a German Helles. 120108

33 cL bottle, noted down as Kaldi Lager. Pours clear and golden yellow with a lacing white head. Light grassy to hoppy aroma. Flavour is fresh fruity, mild bitterhops to fresh grassy hops note. Quite refreshing hops. Ends with a light hoppy freshness.

Bottled, thanks Mal3! Clear deep golden, fairly small head. Evident saaz hop aroma. Sweet with solid, buttery malt. Medium bodied with clean mouthfeel and a fair amount of bitterness. Very similar to Pilsner Urquell. By far the best Icelandic beer I’ve tried.
