Conditioned on Blood Orange and Kalamansi
Bloody Kalamansi is a heavily fruited sour ale that was brewed with a base of pale barley malt, wheat malt, and flaked oats.
It was fermented with a special, lactic acid producing yeast strain and then conditioned on an abundance of blood orange and kalamansi. Kalamansi is a small, round, green, citrus fruit native to Southeast Asia that is sweeter than a lime but more sour than an orange.
Bloody Kalamansi pours a peachy-orange hue into a glass and leaves behind frothy rings of fruity foam with each gulp.
This sour ale opens with aromas of bright citrus fruits, drinks with a luscious medium body, and closes with a refreshingly tart, fruity finish.
We get notes of brunch mimosas, blood orange juice, sour kalamansi, citrus fruit punch, and SweeTart candies.
