Bottleshare at Lancaster Gate. Big thanks to Danny for this one. Clear deep amber - brown beer, good tan head. Palate is soft and light with modest fine carbonation. Big chocolate fudge dark malts. Marshmallow. Mild nuts. Fruity whisky. Spicy finish brings more dark chocolate and dark fruits. Lovely!

From tap at Banksia. Black color withe beige brown head. Roasted malty aroma, chocolate, dark chocolate, cocoa, light coffee, caramel, cookies, toffee, light fruity, spicy, wood. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma, cocoa, brownie, chocolate cake. Medium to full silky creamy body with soft carbonation.

beautiful appearance of deep dark brown colour and huge, dense, long lasting head, which is dark brown first, then becomes to beige, when the ’beer’ goes down from the head; aroma of walnut, cappucino, milk chocolate (well, in Hungary we had a chocolate called ’Kapuciner szelet’ and its aroma is quite similar to this ’beer’), vanilla and some cocoa powder; taste of milk chocolate, cappuccino, walnut, some herbs, chocolate biscuit and syrupy notes; it’s just simply amazing!

Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is cake, pecan, chocolate, vanilla, roasted, taste is rich chocolate, chewy toffee, roasted, sweet, nutty, light peat in the finish. disappointed there is very little from the islay barrel but this is pretty tasty.

Nice light brown creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is rich and sweet, vanilla, maple syrup, dark malts, dark sugar, caramel, chocolate, pecans, oak, minerals, booze. Taste is slightly sour-ish dry, weeds, oak, minerals, booze, burnt coffee, burnt toast, spices, bark, burnt caramel, roasted grain, cocoa, dark malts. Medium bitterness, dry and harsh burnt mouthfeel. Lovely aroma, not so lovely flavors...

Draught @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2016. Opaque black liquid with small to medium tan head. Aroma of chocolate, raw sugar, raisins, caramel, toffee, peat and paracetamol. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with notes of raisins, raw sugar, paracetamol, wood, chocolate and booze. Full bodied with low to medium carbonation. Nice, but a bit astringent (like paracetamol).
