Pours fairly crystal clear orange/amber color with a 2-3 finger dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense foamy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Awesome appearance. Aromas of big lemon, orange peel, pear, apple, peppercorn, clove, oak, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, cracker, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and light-moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, orange peel, pear, apple, peppercorn, clove, oak, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, cracker, and yeast earthiness. Large amount of peppery yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange peel, pear, apple, peppercorn, clove, oak, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and light-moderate malt flavors; with a very crisp/dry finish from carbonation and yeast spiciness; with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly sticky/grainy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an outstanding saison! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink. Very heavy on yeast character, but still has nice complimenting earthy hop and pale malt flavors. A highly enjoyable offering.
