Keg at the brewery during RBWG 2015. Cheers! Pours clear amber with a creamy head. The nose holds coffee, well toasted bread, earth. Medium sweet, notes of toasted wheat. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish, some toasted grains, more coffee. Not bad.

Keg at the brewery druing RBWG Booze Buseday 20/02/15. Mahogany brown topped with a decent off white swirl. Nose is nutty, roasted characteristics, toffee, light cocoa rub, spice. Taste comprises oaky tones, toffee, light roast, cocoa powder, earthy dark fruit shreds. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid enough for the style.

Enjoyed at the Rapp brewery stop of the rbwg2015 bus tour. Poured up on tap where it exhibits a nice mahogany colored body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up plenty of prune and raisin and a dash of cherry sweet dark fruity esters with some malts in the background. The taste is similar but has far lighter sweet dark fruity esters notes. I get a pleasing dose of chocolate malts, an earthy wet tobacco yumminess leading into biscuit and a bit of caramel malts. Behind the malts lurks modest spicy to almost resiny hop notes.
