A ruddy amber American Strong clocking in at 7.7% abv. Grapefruit and stone fruit hop aroma and character are balanced by a rich red malt backbone. A precise blend of 7 hops go into the brewing and dry hopping process including Nelson Sauvin, Mosaic, Horizon, Palisade, Citra, Willamette, & Columbus. From Flannery O’Connor to Iron Maiden the Seventh Son of a Seventh Son is embedded in American culture as a powerful harbinger of good fortune; what better name for our flagship ale?
*Pairs well with strong flavors found in roasted meats and root vegetables and works well with Double Gloucester or other moderately aged cheeses.

Can shared late night during RBWG 2015. Pours clear copper with s creamy light tan head. Pretty nice orangey hops in the nose, some bready malts. Medium sweet flavor, more juicy citrus fruits, orange and tangerine, slight piney bitterness. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Moderate bready malts on the finish, low bitterness, some pine resin, ripe orange. Good.

Sample at the tap room. This beer is a clear dark amber color with a thin light beige head that recedes quickly to a film. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, caramel and fruit. Medium-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, ripe fruit and earthy hops. The finish is mildly bitter with an herbal hops aftertaste. Decent overall.
