This dark beer is a blending of two of my favorite things.
Belgian yeast brings character and history, and a delicate authority to the glass. Malt is the earth in which the idea is grown, the bed upon which the beer rests.
This stout blends these two, a dark, rich and complicated malt bill supporting (and supported by) the playful robust working habits of the Belgian yeast.

Can to snifter.
Appearance: dark brown color with two fingers worth of eggshell white foamy head which slowly dissipated to leave some light lace
Aroma: some Belgian candy, light woody spice, roasted dark malts, Old Spice deoderant (seriously, I swear I smelled this several times and can't seem to get that out of my mind)
Flavor: blends all the prior mentioned aromas to blend roasty, sweet, spicy and toasty; semi-faint Belgian spicy aftertaste
Texture: light to medium bodied, between being a sipper and some kind of sessionability about it, semi-dry and brisk woody and Belgian spicy finish
Overall: odd Belgian beer, I think I liked it, I'm just trying to rehash in my mind how "Old Spice deoderant" gets in the aroma of any beer. Insert shrugging emoji here if I could.
