A big American Imperial Stout with a complex malt character and just enough bitterness to provide balance in this dark malt centric beer.

Refrigerated 12 oz. aluminum can poured into a snifter. Black with medium light brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, medium body, medium/well carbonated, and good small-bubble lacing. Taste is roasted malt, salty, some anise, and herbal hop balance. I prefer snakes in a barrel.

Crowler from the source, crowled on 11/18/14 and forgotten in my fridge until today. Extremely dark clear brown color, thick beige head with good retention and solid lacing. Nice aroma of dark milk chocolate and caffe macchiato. Taste is smooth, rich bittersweet milk chocolate. Delicious. I normally would not have rated this one, since I screwed up by keeping it this long. But I was also curious about whether the beer would be any good. And I was very pleasantly surprised. Still, donβt try this at home. Drink them fresh.
