A big American Imperial Stout with a complex malt character and just enough bitterness to provide balance in this dark malt centric beer.

Can, thanks to Dr.Fabulous. Pours inky black with small foamy tan head, mocha aroma heavy on coffee, medium carbonation, bitter chocolate-coffee taste with alcohol undertones, smooth body, long bitter chocolate finish. Quite nice, very fulfilling.

2016 can from Discount. Pours a deep brown to black with no head. Big cacao nose with milk chocolate, mint and blackberry notes. After a few hours some cinnamon comes out too. Well-balanced with a slightly chewy character. Hoppy bite on the finish with some coffee an chocolate. Really nice.

12 ounce bottle thanks to Dr. Silverworm! 4.14.16. Dark brown, large foamy brown head, good retention. Aroma of roasted malts, tobacco, dark chocolate. The taste is dark chocolate, caramel, vanilla, roasted malts. Medium bodied, low carbonation, smooth. NIce beer.

RBSG2016 grand tasting. Sweet volatile aroma. Big and black. This beer is large and in charge from the start. Its terribly on style for an impy stout. Alarming volatile flavors abound. Over the top and down the hatch. Difficult for a lager lover. Mouth coating whisky soaked brew. What else can be said?

Can: Pours black, with a thin, dark tan head. Chocolate, wood smoke aroma. Taste is mildly ashy/woody bitter..... Smoke, dark chocolate malt, a bit of licorice. Deceptively easy to drink.....not as heavy or potent feeling as expected.. Nicely done.

Can. Campfire smoke, cherry, and chocolate malt aroma. Opaque black-brown with small tan head. Sweet smoky dark chocolate, light cherry, malt, and moderately bitter herbal hay flavor. Nice body but a bit light for an Impy stout. Very nice - great smokiness.
