Paddle Battle is a refreshing hybrid style that combines hop forward aromas of citrus and pine with the malt profile and drinkability of a crisp lager. Pouring a bright gold with a slight haze from its dryhop addition, Paddle Battle showcases citrus, grassy, forest and pine notes in the aroma — everything you expect to see in a classic west-coast style. The malt body doesn't feel heavy however, it is crisp with a subtle sweetness and balanced bitter finish. The restrained hopping on this beer makes for a notable aroma without being too overpowering, allowing for a highly drinkable beer to appeal to many types of consumers.

Clean, mid golden-yellow colour with a big, frothy white head, long retention and full creamy, foamy lacing all-around. An interesting nose with the blend of pine cones West Coast style and the spicy Pils grains, all mildly done. The same continues into the taste. Show a tad unfiltered at one point. A wet mouthfeel with a very slow building drying finish. An interesting hybrid of West Coast with the piney-caramel notes, and a Pilsner and its spicy-grainy, yet refreshing overall.
