Sampled at Brookland Pint pours a watery deep brown with some cloudy off white head. Nose has nuts, toast, malt, biscuit, dark chocolate. Flavor is ok, a bit watery though, malt, pumpernickel, molasses, burnt toast, coffee bean. Finishes disappointingly thin. Dry though. Beef up the body and this is stellar.

Northeast Bucket List Trip Beer #16. Pours a dark red-brown with a medium sized creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and a hoppy finish. The taste is roasted malt, chocolate, nuts, mild hops. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness.

16ounce draft pour at the brewery. Poured a dark, ruby, perhaps a bit more on the brown side of things with a small tan head. Aroma was light roasted malts, some light bitter chocolate. Flavor was light bitter malts, light toasted notes, some light coffee. Okay.

Draft at the source courtesy of Hobbs, thank you sir! Clear dark maroon color, tan head. Nice roasty coffee ground and cocoa aroma. Taste is roasted unsweetened cocoa. Nice light body makes it easy to drink. We asked, btw, and this one has no pumpkin in it.
