By freezing an upper-fermented bock beer, a mighty, bright ice bock develops. This is then stuffed with hop and our legendary Iced IPA is created. This years version is made with Mühlviertler Aurora hop pellets.

Dry-hopping
After five weeks of lagering, this beer undergoes a freeze distillation process where the water is extracted. From there, the newly created ice bock is dry hopped, meaning it is combined with fresh hops in a lager tank and left for weeks to develop and absorb the wonderful hop aromas.

330 ml bottle shared by Werckmeister. Thanks Stefan!
Dark orange, hazy body, with a medium, creamy, off-white head.
Aroma of dried fruits, orange, some flowers, alcohol.
Tastes of sweet honey like malts, dried fruits, peach, orange, alcohol.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a soft carbonation.
Finishes sweet, a bit bitter, boozy, a bit astringent, fruity.

Nice one, although nothing outstanding. Not that hoppy, the sweet malts are much more dominant. Enjoyed the Mandarina Bavaria variant more, while this is also quite enjoyable.

bottle at hone from trade with Sebilinz, many thanks Erich! amber, hazy color. very small white head. smells peach, light liqueurish, light fruity, grainy, honey. full body, soft carbonation, oily mouthfeel, tastes of fruity, grainy, piney, citric, overall kinda bitter / sweet. bitter / sweet finish. hmm, neither smell nor taste are very exciting. but overall i m not so much into bitter sweet beers.

Some bitterness and a lot of sweetness in this. Strange feel but pretty decent all around. Pours orange without much head or lacing. Low carbonation. Finishes bitter. Some citrus. Strong hops pretty well preserved. Cask at Churchkey.

Draft at Churchkey. Clody golden amber color, large bubble edge head. Very fruity aroma. Taste is fruity bitter grapefruit, not as bitter as the Saphir, in fact almost sweet. Not bad.
