Rye Stout.

A stout with a rye twist. Smooth, rich, and layered with chocolate, toasted grains, and a gentle earthy bitterness. Spicy rye malt cuts through the sweetness for a firm, warming finish. Full-bodied and comforting. With added Chinook & Centennial Rye Not?

Panda at home, thanks to Graham, 21/03/2026.
Black pour topped with a khaki head that slips to the edge.
Nose is light roast, liquorice, spice, charr, dark malts, cocoa sprinkle.
Taste comprises cocoa powder, pine nibble, cola cubes, dried fruit rinds, mellow roast.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close doused with earthy hop bitterness.
Tidy hoppy stout ... could blind taste this towards a CDA!
Solid first offering from this brewer for me.
