Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a dark brown with a tan head that starts and remains at the edges. Aroma has caramel and cookie with bourbon, vanilla and a bit of rum underlying. Flavor has more bourbon up front with sweet dark grains, caramel and a growing rum note.

Bottle shared at CBJ - Bermondsey. Pours black-brown with a small, bubbly tan head. Medium to heavy sweet flavour with a lot of molasses, stewed fruits, a little roast, earth, mild oxidation, cocoa, bourbon, booze. Full bodied, somewhat oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, almost hot, more forward bourbon, some oily vanilla, lots of ripe and stewed dark fruits. Potent but enjoyable in moderation.

Bottleshare at Craft Beer Junction. Thanks to CBJ. Near opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, decent fine carbonation. Rich dark malts, big bourbon and rum soaked ripe fruits. Spicy finish. Slightly Impy in character, but a rich and rewarding barleywine.
