330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Langnes. A white head, slowly diminishing over a clear golden body, spotty lacing. Inviting aromas of honeyed malts, earth and yeast, mid-dry. Fine blended taste of yeasty fruitiness, earthy malts, and a note of vanilla. Long lived ending with warmth from the whisky. Like it (Tromsø, 30.05.2026).

Bottle. Distinct quality Belgian ale aroma at first, followed by a boozy hint. Generic fruityness, pale malt notes, spiced notes, some dried apricot and a hint of vanilla and wood. Warming and smooth, with pleasant tannins and bitterness. Perhaps a bit too much on the warming side this one, but it shares well, and is kind of dangerously quenching. 747416 260503

On tap at Brasserie du Lombard, Brussels, Belgium. A slightly hazy dark golden/orange coloured pour with a decent white head on top. Sweetish, yeasty, fruity, spice with a hint of whisky. It's quite good but doesn't come close to their whisky Infused dark ale which is quite wonderful.

(Bottle, 0.33l, from Alko, 20260423) The beer poured pale copper coloured and clear. Its head was large, white and it lasted long. Aroma had honey, spicy yeast, vinous notes and wood. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were honey, spicy yeast, wood, vanilla, earth and bitterness. Aftertaste had honey. wood, vanilla and bitterness. A tasty brew with characteristics yeast. The barrel notes were there but were mostly subtle.

Bottle shared by Joen. Clear golden color, medium sized white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, yeasty, a bit sweetish blossomy notes, with a soft floral note and a slight bitter finish with a slight whiskey hint. Okay.

Goudgeel bier met schuim. Smaak is krachtig warm bitterzoet met veel alcohol, wat honing, banaan en vanille waarbij een zachte whiskey smaak het afrond. Een heel erg goed bier.

Bottle, 0.33l. A golden beer, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has fruitness, spicyness, quite generic aroma of belgian blondes. Taste has fruitness of perries, spicyness, whisky, some alcohol. Medium bodied. Good beer, but I expected more.
