Black with a medium sized brown head that left great lacing. Dry, bitter and toasty with wood and coffee. Nice depth of flavor. Log finish. Moderately full bodied.

Draft. Opaque brown color, thick tan head with good tetention and lacing. Aroma of cocoa. Taste is cocoa powder, brownies.

Growler from Appalachian. Dark black body with a medium creamy tan head. Aroma of roasted malt and some caramel. Sweet caramel flavor with some light roasted malt.

A little chocolate on the nose, but rather thin porter without much character. Not impressed.
