LASSO is the new frontier of India Pale Ale. Brewed with a robust roundup of Columbus, Centennial and Cascade hops, its sessionable simplicity proves bigger isn’t always better. But make no mistake – the Wild West hasn’t gone mild. That same untamed IPA spirit thrives, and we reckon this’ll go down mighty fine.

Golden colour. Fruity (tropical, slightly berryish) aroma. Bitter, lingering hop bitterness and nice biscuity malt. The filtration guts some of the life out if the beer but otherwise it’s a good, hearty IPA with a pithy, moreish finish.

12oz bottle. Filtered pale yellow-tan body. Foamy glass lacing head. Some rindy citrus..decent hop depth...but nothing in body. Pretty much an insipid Golden Ale with a halfway there hop bill. Brewhouse tones. An OK beer, but not really the best of show, nahmean?

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a vibrant golden color with a large creamy-soapy orange-white head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was tangy and sweet with lots of tropical fruits, orange and pineapple. The flavor was tangy sugar, bread, tropical fruits and pepper. Medium length tangy tropical fruit finish. Moderately full bodied. Solid.

Bottle. Golden pour. Pine and bitter hop flavors. Nothing about this IPA really stood out to me, but it was an enjoyable beer. Hoppy. Good stuff.

Pours deep gold into a snifter. White head quickly disappears to hug rim leaving scant sheets. Caramel, sourdough and toffee aromas. Medium bodied with sour vegetables upfront turing to sweet toffee before the lasting mild resin and grapefruit finish.

Sample at House Beer during the Have Another meeting on 03/09/2014. The beer is a clear copper color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Citrus, hops and malt in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of herbal hops, citrus and malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a short hoppy aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

On tap at the bocktown. At first I didn’t think this stuff would be an IPA but as the session continued, it certainly developed that rude IPA feeling on the back center of your tongue. Not much aroma. So, I didn’t’ think it hoppy at first but it does develop a hop impression as time goes on. The IPA thing starts to get more forward. Overall, hardly ever impressed with this style and I wasn’t here.
