We are incredibly stoked to use a brand new hop called Ramosa in this IPA (formerly Experimental D5, grown by the good folks at Segal Ranch in Grandview, WA). We kept the malt bill simple on this one, with the majority of the hop bill using Ramosa, with a bit of Nelson thrown late in the kettle and the dry hop. When we originally rubbed this in the field, we got big grapefruit and intense pineapple...nothing like we’ve ever smelled before. This transferred over very nicely into this beer and we’re very excited to use this hop more in the very near future.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear gold with a huge white head that turned foamy and laced. Aroma is floral/tropical. Med body. Juicy and somewhat sweet. There is balancing bitter. There are earth and spice notes, but tropical fruit is the main thing. Citrus - kind of grapefruit pith - maybe some orange. Excellent flavor.

Bright. Thick head. Somewhat grassy. Definitely malty, medium bitterness, a bit too grassy, sulphury, sticky, just ok.
