Bottle shared at Dadsgiving, thanks to ... ZDK? 24/11/13. Hazed orange amber with a good sized off white covering that retains well. Nose is dank hops, pine, bitter orange, straw, citric tang. Taste comprises pine, dank earthy hopppage, grapefruit, orange pith, caramel notes, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying finale with semi aggressive hop bitterness. A very decent DIPA - the 9% ABV is well integrated.

Pours clear gold into a tulip. White head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Resin and caramel aromas. Sweet pineapple and resin front to back and into the lasting hot tropical fruit finish.

Bottle, with thanks to Maria!

It pours a slightly hazy yellow orange with a very small head of foam that settles quickly to a broken layer. Despite the small and quick shrinkage, there’s some good lacing to be had.

This is a very aromatic brew. Grapefruit, orange, tropical fruit like mango are permeating my nose buds. It has a very oily hoppy nose to it. Seeking out the malt is a fail for me but with all that hoppy goodness going on...

The taste really does bring what the smell more than suggested. All that hoppiness there in spades along with some sweetish malty notes and a hint or 2 of bread. Yum.

Medium body with a sort of light carbonation makes for a delightful mouthfeel.

This is a darn good DIPA. Easy drinking cuz the ample abv doesn’t mess things up at all and it’s so tasty.
