Draft at the brewpub. Pours dark brown, nearly black, with some tan bubbles. The aroma is strong sherry, light smoke, dark chocolate, leather, and plum. Sweet and sugary, sticky and boozy. Heavy and syrupy, with a mild, astringent finish. Solid and fun.
