Made with oak chips from barrels that previously held Pedro Ximénez wine and prunes. The result is a deep-colored beer with liqueur-like aromas of candied fruit. On the palate, it is powerful and full-bodied, where the oak tannins help to balance the body and sweetness.

Draught No head whatsoever; black beer. Sweet roast, sauced tobacco. Lightly roasted (Brasil?) nuts. Overdone omelet. Sweet, vanilla, roast, nuts - if sweet ones, this time. Again the tobacco-vanilla and tonka beans. Waffle syrup, dark dried fruit. Utterly viscous-oozy. Sticky, full bodied, mild carbonation. Really sweet, but good.
