This stout has a bold blend of aromas and flavors from the dark malts which lend notes of dark chocolate, dark roast coffee, and toffee.

I miss avenue pub hummus. Beer is tame too.

Northeast Bucket List Trip Beer #19. A Putin joke. HAHA! Okay. Pours a clear dark brown with a thin fizzy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, honey, mild herbal notes. The taste is roasted malts, honey, nuts, chocolate, dark fruits. Medium bodied, lingering roastiness.

I’d call it a full draft pour, but they were only serving us 8 ounces and didn’t let us have a taster pour. The pour seems a bit short in the tulip glass they gave us, but they were consistent, so whatever. The beer poured a pitch black color with a nice creamy tan head. Aroma was light bitter chocolate notes light coffee. Flavor had some light coffee, but lacked the bitterness that I expected. Semi-sweet chocolate. Finish certainly has a bit of a boozy kick on the end, but it’s very easy to go down. Probably my favorite from them so far.

Draft at the source, courtesy of Matt, thanks! Opaque brown color, thick beige head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of coffee grounds, cocoa powder. Taste is very fruity and roasty, with plums, prunes, coffee. Delicious.
