An imperial porter brewed with Qualia Coffee Rye barrel aged coffee beans. Immediately you are struck by a huge black coffee component in the nose, and this accompanies you through the first sip, across your palate, and through the finish. Big roasty malt notes continue with a complex rye character on the finish.

Draft at the brewery. Poured a silky, black oil color without much of a head, some wispy notes. Aroma was fresh ground coffee notes, alcohol. Flavor was bitter dark chocolates, with a lot of coffee notes. Touch of vanilla on the finish.

12oz pour in the tasting room, pours a very inky black with some creamy, beige head. Nose has a ton of fresh coffee bean, lots of licorice, some boozy notes, raisin, pencil lead, soggy toast. Flavor is sweet, lots of molasses, lots of licorice, some vanilla, caramel, plenty of bread, toast, coffee beans are all over too. Tastes a little like bad KBS... which is still pretty good. Full bodied, sticky finish.
