Limonata sour with Spanish Lemons. Brewed in collaboration with our pals at Newbarns Brewery, we took inspiration from Limonata soft drinks to produce our own mixed fermentation version. Brewed with golden promise pale malt, wheat, locally grown oats. Fermented for three months with Brettanomyces and soured with our house culture. We refermented this base beer with over 100kg of lemons, with a mixture of 60kg comminute and 40kg organically grown whole lemons from Comares, Spain. The whole lemons were zested and juiced by hand. Drink young or age, this will get weirder. Hail the Goat!

On keg at Newbarns Taproom.
Appearance - golden amber and cloudy with a thin white head.
Nose - sharp lemon zest going into lemon sorbet.
Taste - lemon and lime, mainly the zest part.
Palate - light bodied, zesty middle and finish.
Overall - quite nice.

Bottle via the online shop. Hazed gingery gold. Slim white foam. Nose is Rose’s Lime cordial. Sherbet. Whiff of Lockets sweets, too. Very sweet shop. Taste is citrusy tart dry and a tad sweet. Very effervescent on the palate. Slight acidity. Juicy lime filled fruity tart finish. Nicely novel and easy drinking.
