BARREL AGED IMPERIAL STOUT collaboration with RUSE BREWING

A barrel aged Imperial Stout with a calamitous quantity of tropical fruit flavor from over 300 pounds of toasted coconut and freeze-dried pineapple.

The lush fruity flavor of the tropics meets the dark depths of our cellar in this barrel aged Imperial Stout - a blend of barrels hand chosen by the brewers at Fort George & Ruse Brewing.

We take barrel selection seriously. Each barrel ages differently, gaining unique properties and flavors over time from the wood, the space and the cellar (a corner of our production facility) itself. This blend started off with a dark, boozey, tropical kick so we leaned all the way in to create Tropical Tomb.

A blend of single and double barrel aged Imperial Stout aged for 12-26 months in Basil Hayden, Bernheim, Heaven Hill, Knob Creek, Westland, and Westward Whiskey barrels
Conditioned on Toasted Coconut, Lime Leaf, Pineapple and Thai Chili, Cardamom, Turmeric

Mix of chocolate, lime, pineapple, and some peppers. Very sweet, fruity, a lot of coconut, and some spice from peppers. Complex and nicely balanced.
