Bourbon Blammo is the bourbon barrel aged version of our massive coconut imperial stout BLAMMO!
For the 2023 release we blended five oak barrels:
- one stout aged for 26 months in a Heaven Hill Bourbon barrel;
- the second stout rested in a Blanton’s Bourbon barrel for 36 months;
- the third and fourth barrels were also Heaven Hill but this stout aged for 20 months.
- Finally about 10% barleywine was blended in after aging in a Willett Family Estate Bourbon barrel for 21 months.
We then conditioned the blend on 35 lbs of organic toasted coconut per barrel. Bourbon Blammo is the perfect integration of richly complex chocolatey stout, woody vanilla and whiskey notes, and divine coconut dessert flavors. This is a yearly treat indeed!

Dark brown with lots of coffee, bourbon, vanila, fruity notes. Balanced, rich. Excellent.
