Our twist on a classic British Bitter uses one of the oldest yeast strains in the UK from our friends at JW Lees alongside classic UK hops. Light, refreshing, and finishing dry and bitter, this beer presents a combination of complex British yeast esters and whirlpool hops of Harlequin, Amarillo and Loral.
An unfussy beer for talking over.

440ml can. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of citrus, bready grainy malts, hedgerow berries. Taste is the same, surprisingly citrusy, hedgerow berries, bready malts, grains, good bitter finish. Completely flat unfortunately, almost no carbonation at all, much lighter body than it probably should have.
Shame about the lack of carbonation, the American version was fine and therefore much better than this English version.
Also this would probably be banging on cask.

Can at home picked up from 73 Enid. A clear clear golden orange coloured pour with a lasting fine white head. Atoma is nutty malts, twiggy, light apple, dried fruits, dusty grainstore, spicy peppery hop. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, rustic grains, green liquorice, spicy peppery hop, light tar, dirty sap. Palate is semi sweet, mellow carbonation . Firm dirty bitterness. Not bad. Probably better on cask.

Keg at Cloudwater Enid Street. Opaque gold. Thick foamy white head. Aroma has citrus and spice and a sweetness. Flavourwise it's bitter with a citrusy streak and ends with spice. Light-medium bodied. Soft carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Decent enough Golden Bitter.

Keg at 73 Enid Street, 04/03/2026.
Golden copper topped with a lasting white head.
Nose is grassy, herb, straw, biscuit.
Taste comprises fruit loaf, floral notes, grains, dried fruits.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light spattering of leafy bitterness.
Tidy for the style ... would have liked to have tried this one on cask.
