This beer uses a water profile emulating the central coast of California, providing the perfect foundation for a simple malt base that supports an absolutely classic hop grist - Columbus, Simcoe, Cashmere, Amarillo and Centennial are all used throughout the boil. An extra whirlpool addition of Chinook and Simcoe provides sticky orange, stonefruits and a hearty pine resin bitterness. This underpins a charge of Centennial, Citra and even more Simcoe in the dry hop to provide a refreshingly clean, robustly bitter expression of one of our most beloved styles of beer.

440ml can. Clear golden with a white head, good retention. Aroma of orange and grapefruit, piney resin. Taste of orange, grapefruit, pine, resinous, biscuity malt and a hint of caramel, strong bitter finish. Medium bodied.
Bright IPA if often synonymous with "watered down westie" but this is really good, much like a proper WC style pale.

Pours hazed yellow gold with a decent white cap. Solid malty hit, bit of caramel, some bready notes, sticky orange, sharp citrus notes. Nice clean bitter finish with sticky orange coming through but not breaking the bitter dry finish. Nice stuff.
