Etymology is a bottled blend of two very different but equally delicious variations of barleywine. One a nuanced, ultra toasty Barleywine Blend (Ology 2025*) and the other a dark, rich, 30 month barrel aged English-style Barleywine (Etym 2025). After months of study and reflection, we blended the two to create a bold and balanced beer.
A smooth, rich blend of barrel-aged barleywines for the curious beer enthusiast.

Etymology 2025 is a select blend of Modern & Traditional Barleywines: English Barleywine aged for 30 months in Westward Whiskey barrels Barleywines aged for 20 months in Heaven HIll barrels, 20 months in George Dickel barrels, and 25 months in Westward Rye barrels.

And barleywine aged for 20 months in Basil
Hayden, Russell’s Reserve and Russell’s Rye
barrels, 40 months in Willett barrels.
