Beer that Benefits Oregon Humane

A Series To Support Great Nonprofits Across the PNW

Our partner for this beer is Oregon Humane. For more than 150 years, Oregon Humane has been turning compassion into action through its life-saving programs and services, including adoption, veterinary care, education, and advocacy.

We’re trotting the region and the globe for the hops in this IPA. Idaho-grown Mosaic provides a baseline level of melon, tropical, and sweet-seeming hop flavors. On top of that we layer in some of our favorite Oregon-grown Chinook, which gives notes of pine needles and grapefruit rind. Columbus grown in the Yakima Valley contributes some notes of watermelon and cannabis, and Nectaron from New Zealand adds some catty and stonefruit notes while amping up the overall reductive intensity of the aroma. This IPA is a riff on a beer we first brewed with our friends from Shred Beer Co in Califor- nia, and we’re stoked to bring it to a wider audience in service of a great cause.

Grab a can or pint and help us support Oregon Humane’s commitment to saving lives, strengthening bonds, and helping animals and families find joy.

Draft at Breakside-Astoria. Clear golden pour, small cap of white foam. Really interesting profile here, melon and tea, kinf of funky. A diffferent approach to an IPA that works really well.

Gold body with lasting white head. Hoppy aroma. Fruity and spicy taste with some maltiness and a long on the tongue finish.
