Reviewed from notes.
Can to mug.
Appearance: very dark brown yet so close to black with a two finger beige foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: roasted dark malts, cocoa powder or baker's chocolate, subtle coffee roastiness, dark bread
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine roasty and bitter quality; finishes dry and roasty with that cocoa powder/baker's chocolate tone
Texture: medium bodied, somewhat sessionable, some smoothness but very dry along the tongue
Overall: a very nicely done Irish dry stout very worthy of coming back to preferably for St. Patrick's Day or any Winter session.
*apologies to the reader but I may have started picking up a cold around the consumption of this beer and I was unable to determine if it was baker's chocolate or cocoa powder
