Exploring the similar terrains of the Peak District and the South Island of New Zealand will often require a number of Double Backs before you find your path. This DIPA will take you on a similar journey with a lime zest aroma, a sweet tropical fruit palate and a moreish finish from an adventurous combination of New Zealand hops including Nelson Sauvin, Waimea, Kohatu, and Wai-Iti.

14/8/2026. Draft at the Aerocraft Brewery & Taproom, Braintree. Pours well. Smooth, sweet, tropical, husky, earthy, gooseberry. Really sweet. Good body. Surprised how sweet and candied this is. A bit disappointed.

440ml can. Steady white head, spotty lacing, cloudy golden body. Moderate smell of ripe lemon and wheat. Hints of apricot and grapefruit to the taste buds. Fruit wheaty finish. Just okay, but had expected more. 8 % ? (Tromsø, 17.07.2026).

Can from Cornelius. Clear deep golden body with an off-white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of honey and lemon. Flavour of syrup, Lockets, apricot and orange. Medium body with a slick, slightly sticky mouthfeel. Soft fizz. This is overly sweet and lacks drinkability.

Canned 10/12/25. Cloudy orange colour, steady white head. The aroma has ripe fruit and hay, and it turns somewhat musty. Medium-bodied. Odd lollipop sweet fruity flavour. Low bitterness and wanky yeasty notes. Quite odd fruit salad. Nope.

Can. Buxton online. First half was mostly clear gold. Second half was super murky. Lovely dense white head. Goes a bit tits up after that. It’s basically a sweet syrupy boozy mess with no evidence of NZ hops or any particular brewing or packaging skill. It’s just cheap and nasty and it’s pretty heartbreaking that Buxton are reduced to putting out shit like this.
