In our DARK series, we use roasted malt in the mash to create full-bodied beers with a deep, dark colour. D:14 is an American Barley Wine that we have stored for almost two months before bottling to allow the malty flavours with hints of caramel and dark raisins to develop together.

Bottle from Kvickly Vejle. Pours dark reddish brown with medium white head. Aroma is malt, sweet apples, raisins, biscuits, toffee, port wine, and Belgian yeast. Taste is very sweet, medium bitter, and faint acidic. Body is oily with good carbonation. Finish is long and mostly sweet with rich notes of malt, raisins, biscuits, toffee, port wine, and hints of spruce and grapefruit. Well balanced and not too intense.
