Barrel Aged Imperial Stout

Dark, smooth, oily, massive, full-bodied imperial stout aged 13 months in Irish Whiskey Barrel.

The dark depths of the ASW Fiddler Irish Whiskey cask captivated us and layered a subtle malt sweetness, hints of vanilla and a light oak aroma, balanced with notes of caramel, toffee and a delicate spicy character reminiscent of classic Irish whiskey, while retaining the depth of bourbon. Let the cask speak for itself.

Lusca is sea monster from Carribean, half shark, half giant octopus with sharped teeth and deadly tentacles.

Hand-waxed, brewed with passion and patience, this is liquid dessert in a glass.

This is why we brew!

Bottle at home shared with Joen. Opaque black color, small dark brown colored head. Aroma is malts, some soy sauce and wood influence? Flavor is malts, fortunately not too much soy sauce in the flavor, wood, salty a bit, umami. Decent, but not particularly my kind of beer.

Bottled 330ml. -Courtesy of Hrabren, shared with him & Marko. Pitch black coloured, no head at all, chocolate and alcohol in the nose. Sweet, oily, chocolate, alcohol, notes of barrel and sweet finish. Not bad but also not worth of 20€ per bottle.

0.33l bottle, thx Hrabren! Very dark brown, blackish body, fleeting head. Smooth soft raisins and low vanilla in the aroma, pungent, floral somehow. Sweet, smooth taste, caramel, heaps of smooth brown sugar barrel notes, clean, bitterish finish. Deceptively simple, but damn, damn tasty!

Tap at Prague Beer Fest. Very strong, full. Low to no carbo. High warmth, pleasant, but obvious. Shitloads of molasses, chocolate, med dried fruits. Quite good.
