Bottle 500ml. @ cgarvieuk [ Lets do a chrisO Tasting ], Edinburgh, Scotland. [ As Watermill Dogth Vader ].Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, dark malt, light chocolate. Flavour is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, dark malt light nutty. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140315]

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Aromas of light chocolate, light roasted malt. Taste is more of the same, not a right lot going on. Finishes clean. OK.

Bottle at The Inn Beer Shop, Southport. Found this bottled version to be too carbonated which somewhat spoilt the enjoyment of what was otherwise quite a decent beer. Strong malt aroma, with chocolate.

50 cl bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is light roasted malty, vague breadish. Toasted malty, light chocolate note, bitter and roasted malty. Dry malty and roasted finish.

Bottle at Cockermouth tasting Cockney Pub. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Very dark red-amber colour. Heavy malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Not too roasted. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate. Fruit and roast in nice balance.
