Bottle from Beer Ambleside, Ambleside. Extremely dark with a thick frothy off-white head. Nice and smooth, not quite feeling its strength either but retaining a good body and mouthfeel for it. There's not too much roasted character to be found here but nevertheless it's a very drinkable dark malt brew.

Foamy tan head on a near black body. Sarsaparilla, roasted & malt aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with a lively dry clean back. Fruity berry, malt, nutty, sarsaparilla & treacle tastes with a tangy peppery finish. Nice one.

500ml bottle (as Windermere Dog'th Vader): BBE Dec 19. Drank at my brother-in-laws place on 27th May 19. Very dark, black bodied, lightly tanned foaming top. Malts all the way here, chocolate and coffee notes in both the nose and taste, semi-dry finish and not too sweet throughout.

Very dark brown with thin head. Aroma and flavour have some bittersweet treacle and a little liquorice.

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Aromas of light chocolate, light roasted malt. Taste is more of the same, not a right lot going on. Finishes clean. OK.

Bottle at The Inn Beer Shop, Southport. Found this bottled version to be too carbonated which somewhat spoilt the enjoyment of what was otherwise quite a decent beer. Strong malt aroma, with chocolate.
