Cask at the brewpub. Mahogany brown coloured pour with a lashing thin light tan head. Aroma is malt extract liquorice. Treacle. Dark fruit. Flavour is composed of nutty, malt extract, dark fruit. Paalare is semi sweet. Low carbonation. Terrible beer name.

On cask at Watermill Inn, Ings - Love the name of this one. Cloudy jet black body, little tan top. Nose is all roasty and burnt notes, but it pulls through in the taste. Nice fruity hit, pleasant smoky finish. Highlight of the day to this point.

Cask: Almost black, smaller lacy tanned head; moderate sweetish-fruity nose (dried berries) with a light port-vinous touch, a dash of roasted malt in the backyard; moderate sweet bitter flavour, medium bodied; a faint tinge of liquorice shows up in the moderate bitter-sweet finish. Well balanced, tasty brew.....
