Upstream is an amber-colored beer that derives its flavor from American base and color malts and its flavor is offset by the use of Northern Brewer hops. In the tradition of San Francisco lagers, the hops lend a resinous woody character that adds to a clean hoppy finish.

Tap. Copper colored with a tiny head. Aroma was like straw, hay. Taste was only slightly better. Wouldn’t be a bad beer ona hot day.

Can: Cloudy, amber-gold with a beige head. Caramel/grain aroma. Taste is sweet toffee malt, almost a candied-effect.....followed by a grassy/leafy bittering. Not bad, really, but it has an odd sweet-to-bitter ratio....not smooth.

Can. Toffee malt and weedy grass aroma. Hazy amber with large head. Lightly sweet toffee malt and moderately bitter grass and quinine flavor. Okay body. A bit harsh.

On tap at the brewery. Dull tan, sort of a dull malt profile. This is a pretty limited beer.
