A combined love-letter to many collective passions, we were thrilled to build a new lager focused on one of our favorite ingredients; rye! Brewed using a single decoction mash on a grist of @rabbit_hill_malthouse barley and malted rye, this beer was hopped hot side with select whole-cone Mittelfrüh hops throughout the boil. Fermented low and slow with our preferred lager yeast, spunded for bright and integrated natural carbonation, and matured cold until just lovely. A near perfect winter time lager, Rye Burial brings wonderful layers of a most inviting artisan bakery, soft yet properly browned bread crust, and a complex, grain-driven, dark fruit character led by black cherries.

From my parents: pours copper with a white head. Aroma is toffee and light spiciness. Taste is somewhat sweet. Rye character is nice and not just that spiciness. Quite good.
