This traditional German wheat beer is brewed after an old German law that requires at least 50% of the grains to be malted wheat. Our style of wheat beer is made with 55% wheat and a famous German yeast strain which produces a strong banana and subtle clove flavor. The high wheat content and yeast also contributes to the cloudy yet light gold appearance. This type of beer is favored during the summertime but is brewed year-round at Blue Stallion Brewing Co.

Tap at CYO. Pours a hazy gold with a a half finger of foam that dissipates quickly. Good lacing throughout. Light grainy nose. Lemon candy and mineral water on the palate. Spritzy carbonation. Bone dry finish w/ a lingering tonic water feel. A little too well-attenuated for a hefe...more of wheat ale / belgian blonde hybrid. Tap. Pours quite hazy golden orange, small off-white head, decent lacing. Aroma is light banana, clove, hints of lemon. Flavor is light sweet, hint of tartness, minimal bitterness. Subdued hef character. Light body. Not one of the better ones IMO.

On tap at LB Plaudit. Hazy golden with medium white head. Aroma is malty clove, light body, medium carbonation, and pretty good small-bubble lacing. Taste is light malt and some clove.

Draft at the source. Hazy to cloudy golden yellow color, white head. Aroma of bready banana and citrus. Taste is light lemon, banana, subtle bubblegum. Tasty.

Draft. Lactic banana, peach, light clove and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet banana, lemon, wheat malt, and light clove flavor. Nicely blended. Very solid - a well done Hefeweizen.
