A rich, complex, and multi layered Scottish Dark Ale with a complex caramel malt backbone, fruity esters and a robust bitterness to balance the smooth salted caramel sweetness.
Brewed with Scottish base malt, caramel malts, toasted oats, flaked wheat, caramelised brown sugar, salt and just a touch of lactose.

440ml can from Wee Beer Shop at Pollokshaw Road - Deep amber body, shortish white top. Big caramel nose, loads of sweet toffee, marzipan, juicy tart stone fruits with bags of maltiness. Very slightly savoury touch at the back from the salt. Cracking beer that belies its ABV.

Appearance - deep amber to red and clear. Thin off-white head.
Nose - caramel, toffee & fudge. Shortbread biscuits and still searching for the salt.
Taste - tonnes of caramel, salt is at the back.
Palate - medium bodied, rich texture, chewy middle and finish.
Overall - good. Not too sweet.

Can shared by my bro. It pours clear orangey - brown with a small, bubbly off- white head. The aroma is toasty brown bread, woody, earth, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, dried fig, date, fruit loaf, salted caramel is fairly muted and some caramac. The taste is initially smooth, warming booze, woody, leather, light tannin, coffee beans, mellow salted caramel, toasted nut, slightly charred, umami and tannin with a drying, kinda burnt finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Nice aroma. Tastes has a burnt finish which detracts from what is a decent beer overall.
